The anti-Chuck Hagel ads beef about his shady business dealings, including Iran, and undisclosed finances. I thought, he sounds like a Republican. Then I realized he is a Republican.
What compels a person to run me off the road just to get on an entrance ramp first? You kids these days watch too much NASCAR.
Our fiscal house is quickly imploding around us. Gun violence is rampant with no end in sight. Our morals are in a freefall. We are witnessing the fruit of the seeds we planted long ago. Legislation will do little for any of these issues. The seeds were sown and now we shall reap what we have sown.
I support the sheriffs who are standing up for what is right. While they do enforce laws, they are not required to enforce executive orders. I applaud all of them that are willing to stand up for our right to choose whether we wish to own a firearm.
When I was a Democrat, I supported Joe Manchin. Now that I am an independent hoping for a responsible government, I see signs of leadership in this man who dares to think outside strict party lines despite diehards chastising him for this. More power to the rare politician who makes decisions for the good of the country.

Sad to say, but true: Politicians have no use for veterans after their service to our country is over. They only love you when you're fighting their wars; after that you are a drag on the economy, especially if you have been wounded and are disabled.
Do some of the politicians like McKinley actually expect us to believe that all these gun deaths are because of mental health issues? We have roughly the same amount of mental health issues as other countries, but 30 times the amount of guns deaths. Somebody wake [him] up!
Your comics aren't funny, but I get my laughs by reading the editorials, syndicated columnists and the Readers' Voice!
Spring is on the way. Please, if you care about the unnecessary suffering of any living thing, do not abandon unwanted animals. At least take time from your busy day to drop them off at an animal shelter where someone who is able to love and care for them can take over for you. Sometimes we just have to do that to be merciful.
If you work in an office and you don't want to see staples on the carpet around your desk, the best thing you could possibly do is throw them in the trashcan. And don't throw them on the floor -- vacuum cleaners don't pick these up and neither do janitors. College certainly doesn't sell you any common sense, does it? I mean that's just plain lazy.

People are going crazy on the gun control. Where was gun control [after] Columbine? Where was gun control when the Amish children were killed?
You might want to think twice if you're thinking about getting Frontier Internet service. They overcharge you. They say they won't charge for installation. Then they do. You call to get it corrected and they are very, very rude. Their Internet service doesn't even work properly. Think twice before getting this service.
I have been unable to say "my president" the previous four years nor the next four years, however there is hope on the horizon, and it sounds like this: President Rubio.
Randy Moss almost got it right at his Super Bowl media day. He should have said, "I could have been the greatest receiver of all time." And he would have been if he would ever worked at it.
Someone keeps calling in referring to gun owners as "gun nuts." I have guns, and sometimes I take a screw and thread it into a nut and I turn it to the right and it tightens. When I turn it to the left it loosens. So the way I look at it is, if you turn something to the right, things get tight. You turn things to the left, and you have a loose screw.
I do recall when my honorable President Bush was serving his eight-year term, there was much name-calling from the liberal readers, however they were not in the White House either, so right back at ya, darling.
If these four sheriffs knew how ignorant they sounded about the assault weapons ban, they would resign from their job. They took an oath to uphold the law, and if they don't they should be fired on the spot. I have read the Second Amendment and I don't see no assault weapon listed anywhere as a right.
For those who keep saying that an assault rifle was not used at Sandy Hook, this is from CNN: "The primary weapon used in the attack was a Bushmaster AR-15 assault-type weapon, said Connecticut State Police Lt. Paul Vance." Adam Lanza killed himself with one of the two pistols he was carrying.
To the deputies who will not enforce an automatic weapon ban because it would violate the owners' Second Amendment rights: How often have you violated someone's Fourth Amendment rights by conducting illegal searches and seizures?
