The anti-Chuck Hagel ads beef about his shady business dealings, including Iran, and undisclosed finances. I thought, he sounds like a Republican. Then I realized he is a Republican.

What compels a person to run me off the road just to get on an entrance ramp first? You kids these days watch too much NASCAR.

Our fiscal house is quickly imploding around us. Gun violence is rampant with no end in sight. Our morals are in a freefall. We are witnessing the fruit of the seeds we planted long ago. Legislation will do little for any of these issues. The seeds were sown and now we shall reap what we have sown.

I support the sheriffs who are standing up for what is right. While they do enforce laws, they are not required to enforce executive orders. I applaud all of them that are willing to stand up for our right to choose whether we wish to own a firearm.

Sometimes we just have to do that to be merciful.

If you work in an office and you don't want to see staples on the carpet around your desk, the best thing you could possibly do is throw them in the trashcan. And don't throw them on the floor -- vacuum cleaners don't pick these up and neither do janitors. College certainly doesn't sell you any common sense, does it? I mean that's just plain lazy.
