Let's see. George Bush pushed the Patriot Act through right after 9/11 and got it passed, which basically takes away our Fourth Amendment rights to privacy. Then somebody hacks into their computers and publishes a bunch of their private emails and crap online and he gets mad and angry.

The problem with this country is that we started shipping jobs overseas in the '50s and it's been going on for 50 years. Now the working few have to support the other half because they can't find a job. They're overseas. Wake up, America.

The Gazette should place reports of the killing spree by ex-cop Christopher Dorner beside nutty-professor editorials saying police can handle guns but teachers can't.

A good example of why West Virginia's not moving ahead is what Mr. Eyre found out about how the state government works and the waste lost for our kids. The fact higher-ups have not been fired means more is to come without consequences. The plot thickens as people who disagree with this management are fired.

Why do the school buses at Logan block the road to the grade school? All of the buses except two line in a single file and keep the road open. Someday an emergency vehicle may have to go to the school and it won't be able to get there. The school system had better hope it's not my child.

With all that's going on in the world that we need to know about, we get a biography of E.J. Dionne's mother. I lack the words to express how little I care.

The United States used to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. You voted for a change, and now it's the land of the police state and the home of the weak.

Social Security and Medicare are entitlements. You paid into them. You're entitled to get them back. It's simple. Welfare is not an entitlement.
