I read that BrickStreet is giving $4 million to WVU.  It made me sad, because the Morgantown university has mountains of money, while West Virginia State University and Tech at Montgomery -- here in the Kanawha Valley -- need donations a lot more.

Some believe gun "control" means a loss of liberty. But the real loss of liberty happens when libraries close. Knowledge is power and access to knowledge is what ensures freedom.

The cookies aren't evil. It's being a glutton and laziness that's evil.

I pray daily that the Defense of Marriage Act is struck down. Defense of Marriage? Defending it from what? Monogamous, loving couples wanting to get married? If they really want to eliminate some of the waste in our government then one of the biggest budget cuts should come from the office of Congress, and members, along with other welfare recipients, should be drug-tested.

Why do so many of our state leaders disregard the need to maintain clean water resources? Do they all have second homes in other states?
