I wish to congratulate the library director of the Southern Area Public Library in Lost Creek, Mary Beth Stegner, for her ingenuity and hard work in bringing the Library Journal's attention to a small, but dynamic place of learning, community service and participation. I also commend the Gazette-Mail for printing the excellent article.

Obama was so worried about sequestration that he had to go to Florida to play golf with Tiger Woods. Poor thing.

Is there a law that only men pay child support because when shoes reversed I got no break and neither does any other man I know.

The 51 percent who voted this president in are nothing but freeloaders wanting their ice cream and don't care who has to pay for it. It's time this nation wakes up and sees what's really happening.

Please, if you can, support your local library.

Four more years is really a long time.

Have you ever heard of the movie, "The Lost Weekend?" Religion has nothing to do with the fact booze is not available for purchase on Sunday except at a hotel. Most people do not work on Sunday, so getting drunk could be their choice of entertainment. When they run out, they jumped in the car to buy more, thus driving under the influence.

Why would any WVU fan truly want to see this team in the NCAA tournament? This year's team should be like the old soldier and "just fade away."

Why hasn't the city taken the profits from all those millions of tourist dollars spent at the Civic Center and deposited a portion, say 10 to 15 percent, into an escrow account for maintenance expenses and upgrades as needed? Seems all the politicos want to do is take the profit and spend it.

As my old Grandma used to say, "I think Erik Wells has gotten a little too big for his britches."
