The answer to gun control is really very simple. When someone buys a gun, just issue only one bullet with it like sheriff Andy Taylor did with Barney Fife in Mayberry.

I always hear talk about the deficit, but don't hear talk about reducing the deficit from either side. What's up with that?

A recent survey found that members of Congress are more unpopular than head lice.

Ninety-nine percent of the Republicans I know are only conservative about helping and caring about others. But they are liberal when it comes to morals and self-indulgent behaviors. For Republicans to refer to themselves as conservative is ridiculous.

JCPenney, a purveyor of mail-order goods to conservative Middle America, 1) does away with their mail-order catalog, 2) tries to push a Hollywood lesbian down our throats as their spokesperson, and 3) wonders where all of their business went.

First a bunch of big name Republican politicians come out supporting gay marriage, then 200 corporations, who almost always support the Republican party, do and now Clint Eastwood does. All these years Republicans say they're against gay marriage and now they're all changing their stances. What a bunch of hypocrites.

Unfortunately, Congresswoman Capito is still just mouthing the Republican line of "cuts only." They favor laying off teachers, meat inspectors, flight controllers and prison guards while refusing to consider whether it makes sense for millionaires to pay a lower tax rate than you and I do.

Until the U.S. Congress and president decide to fix the tax system in our country like requiring the super rich and major corporations to pay the same percentage rate or higher than the middle class, they should not lay the blame on us seniors.
