As I read the paper today, I notice that "Non Sequitur" has not been dropped from the paper. Please leave "Get Fuzzy" alone, along with "Pearls Before Swine."

Anyone who wants to understand much of what is wrong with our health-care system should read the March 4 Time magazine special report, "Why Medical Bills Are Killing Us," by Steven Brill.
After spending a million dollars of taxpayer money to go play golf with Tiger, our Imperial Leader cancels White House tours because of the sequester he asked for. Anybody else have a problem with his way of handling things?
Maybe all the bystanders who watched and did not call for help in the beating at the Transit Mall can be arrested for accessories in that crime. Shameful and cowardly behavior!
Obviously Obama was confused in January. It was an "inauguration," not a "coronation."
Tomblin and his legislator NRA lackeys should go to Honduras, Somalia and other assault-weapon carrying countries to see how they protect their school kids since they are afraid to do their sworn duty and pass laws to that effect.
Get ready Charleston, the boys from West Liberty will move the Mountain East basketball tournament to Wheeling! And without the name "West Virginia." Bet on it!
If the man really [did] know the suspects in the Transit Mall beating and refuses to identify them to the police unless paid, he should be charged with obstructing justice.
I find it unbelievable that I would ever be in agreement with Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, but he is right concerning drones being possibly used against American citizens. In this matter President Obama is wrong.
What if a targeted drone strike was the only way to prevent Timothy McVeigh from pulling off the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 Americans? Would Rand Paul be filibustering that because it violated the Constitution?

With regards to the stock market, what always happens soon after a record high is set: A great big drop, fall and crisis. I'm selling today. Then when it crashes, I'll buy it all back at rock-bottom prices ... have a big smile.
Fact: There are fewer gun deaths in the states with the most gun laws. Google it if you don't believe it.
After reading the Gazette editorial: "Lunacy:Absurd gun laws," I am reminded again just how much our Legislature and the U.S. Congress have in common. Both are now filled with inane, out-of-touch politicians, who "We the People" elected to represent us, which they haven't done.
Perhaps I can explain the difference between a rich Democrat and a rich Republican: A rich Democrat, who is retiring from the Senate, has spent his life trying to make life better for miners, veterans, senior citizens and [other state residents]. A rich Republican is only interested in tax cuts for the rich.
How are things going for you here in the good old FUSA (Fascist United States of America)? How is it having corporations control your government and your lives working out for you? Makes socialism look good, doesn't it?
The teachers' union trying to do something to reduce the number of non-teaching bureaucrats at the Board of Education deserves our support.
I watched Chuck Todd of NBC news interview Shelley Capito. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard her say that she always puts the interest of West Virginians first. She said it with a straight face, which shows that she has mastered the art of lying.
To the reader who called or wrote in about the Gazette dropping the "Non Sequitur" strip from the comics: It's still there, bottom right of the page.
Income must always equal spending or spending must always equal income. Seems like Washington can never get it right.
A reader wanted to know the difference between rich Repubs and rich Dems. Take Mitt Romney for example, pocketing millions by destroying American companies, leaving the workers with no job or pension. No true Dem would operate like that.
The teachers are right. To see real parasites, go to your Board of Education! They may not have work, but they have jobs.
The reader who said we needed another Bush in the White House belongs in the funny pages!
