I see that the teacher unions do not like what Gov. Tomblin says. Whatever they don't like, I do like. What they like is less responsibility, tenure, more pay and less meaningful relationships with the children. Go, Tomblin.

It isn't the money, more teachers or more technology that will improve the West Virginia educational system. It is the entitlement parents who won't work, or help their child learn to read or feed their children because they sell their food stamps. Maybe we should look at this problem instead of putting the blame on our education system.
Why doesn't the guy on the television commercial for the Affiliated Trades union have on safety glasses? He has a hard hat on.
That is a laugh with Pete Thaw accusing the library of being a parasite. He has been one of the biggest parasites on the state budget for years.
Tell this president the election is over. He still campaigns and uses up gas in Air Force One. That is all he has done.
In my opinion, one of the worst periods in American history was when George W. Bush was given the presidency in 2000 and he tore America apart with wars, the economy, the Patriot Act and other things.
I just followed a Kanawha County deputy from South Charleston to St. Albans, and he must have been doing 70 mph with no lights or siren. They don't need body armor to save their lives; they just need to slow down.
Let the people who use the Charleston Civic Center pay for the renovations, not the taxpayers.
The Charleston Daily Mail article urges individual savings as being very important. With Washington's out-of-control spending spree, borrowing and printing money, soon you will need a wheelbarrow of money to buy a loaf of bread. If you don't think this is possible, just wait and see.
Thanks to the Good Samaritan who pulled my car out of a ditch in Pinch. I really appreciate it.
I wonder if the Republican Party is so afraid of the NRA, or is it the hate of Obama that makes them want to protect the outlaws who walk our streets with assault rifles more powerful than our military?
It is time for another statewide teacher strike. Teachers shouldn't allow themselves to be bullied every time the Legislature comes into town, especially by Erik Wells.
No farmer would give a fox complete access to the poultry house. We put a narcissistic wolf in sheep's clothing, not once, but twice. We need fervent prayer.

I read where Sheriff DeWeese gave all of his people raises and went before the Putnam Commission for more money.
I've lived in South Charleston for over 35 years and it used to be a good place to live and a town with its own identity. Now the police pull people over all the time. Poor leadership.
Where are the friends of coal miners? All of our leaders have fattened their wallets with the coal barons.
The Municipal Auditorium should be renovated soon. Take the proposed bike path money and do it.
People can say anything they want about Rush Creek Mines. It is called a blowout when water is loaded improperly into the blast hole and then comes out the top of the hole. I've worked in the coal mines for 32 years.
I miss Tom McGee.
What is it with these women who think they can turn their children against their ex-husband and get by with it? They manipulate these family law judges in Kanawha County that aren't trained properly. You won't get by with it. There is only one judge and you will answer to him.
Bob Woodward is one of the best journalists in America. He has been bullied and threatened by the White House because of his sequester remarks. How typical -- they can't stand to hear the truth.
When you start with budget cuts, no one says, "Pick my part of the budget," of course, but someone has to choose. These will be difficult choices for all. Stop pointing fingers like little toddlers and do something. We don't need any more new laws; we need a decent budget.
I'm glad Rockefeller isn't running. He should have resigned years ago. Manchin should resign and move to Nevada or California to be with the people he represents.
President Nixon was an arrogant, lying bully, but compared to President Obama he is looking better all the time.
I know there is a lawyer from Mason County who is really going to miss his buddy Judge Watkins.
Welfare allows reverse Darwinism to occur. Welfare people have a dozen kids, but workers only have one or two, so that is why we are getting more stupid.
