The fool who said there were more Democrats in Congress than Republicans needs to take a remedial math course. It's simple addition, give it a try.
Well, I just finished reading the Bible and nowhere did I see a mention of the Boy Scouts or rock singers by the men who wrote the Bible. Any other strange suggestions?
If the coal mine industry ever told the governor and the Legislature to kiss their rear, that "boom" you would hear would be their knees hitting the floor at the Capitol.
In regard to Mr. Fisher's commentary on the proposed bike path along Kanawha Boulevard, as a avid cyclist, I agree it isn't money well spent to construct a mile-long bike path. Take the money and pave the entire length of Chesterfield Avenue in Kanawha City where cyclists ride, take a street sweeper and clean the emergency stopping lanes on both sides of MacCorkle Avenue from Marmet to Spring Hill where cyclists ride, and use the remaining funds for community education so there is mutual respect between cyclists and motor vehicle drivers.
Hopefully Delegate Skaff and company, in their effort to enact a West Virginia law that "nullifies" any national gun laws, know that they are only grandstanding to the faithful as unabashed panderers with full awareness that they are tethered by the U.S. Constitutional leash. Or we should pray for deliverance from politicians such as these.
Going to go out on a limb and guess that neither Tim Miley, Justin Marcum or any of the delegates live near a mine where they have to worry about their water being poisoned. This is the same bunch who think the mentally ill should be able to buy a gun whenever they want.
West Virginia workers' compensation law used to be, at least, an agreement between employer and employee that, as long as the employer covered all expenses associated with a workplace injury/accident, the employee would forfeit the right to sue. All of a sudden, I'm seeing all these lawyer ads on TV for workplace accident victims to sue employers. Did the law change because workers' comp insurance went private?
Those anti-gun radicals give real Democrats a bad name.
Our local buy swap and sell paper lists at least 10 guns for private sale including an AR15. Looks like anyone could buy these without a background check. Convicted felons need not worry in West Virginia.

When is the Republican-controlled House of Representatives going to quit wasting their time and our money in attempts to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act? It will never be considered by the Democrat-controlled Senate, and in the unlikely event it would pass the Senate, President Obama would veto it. The Affordable Health Care Act, sometimes called Obamacare, is the law of the land, and the majority of Americans like it. Move on, GOP.
We should apologize to our kids for voting these state legislators in office because they will have a mess to cleanup. Voting to please the NRA and coal companies. They are making walking down the street and the health and safety of everybody that lives here a risk.
As I look at the problems facing our country today, I reflect on the last two elections, and what promises were made. Time and history will tell us (too late) that when we elected this man to the presidency, we put an unprepared, unqualified and self-important man in way over his head.
Dear liberal who doesn't know a thing about guns. 1) My rifle isn't an assault weapon. 2) It isn't more powerful than the military's weapons. 3) New laws taking my guns will have little effect on outlaws having guns.
So we're going to legalize selenium pollution because an industry wants more profit? Now the Mafia will be calling because the racketeering laws are crippling their businesses with punishing fines. Those pesky laws just ruin all kinds of business models.
When I deliver the dinner you ordered, I assure you, despite being a lowly minimum wage earner, I can resist the temptation to burglarize your home. You needn't release the hounds to intimidate me.
I think Danny Jones should be ashamed of himself using millions of dollars to redo the Civic Center when there are hundreds of people in West Virginia who can't afford a place to live. Some people have to choose whether they buy food or their medicine. There is nothing wrong with the Civic Center, and that ugly white thing out there on the levee. If you want to do something good for Charleston help your people.
Every word in the Bible was written by men. But, you say, they were divinely inspired. And I ask, who told you that? And your answer would be men. So, therefore, the Bible is based on hearsay. Believe it if you wish, your choice, but God, as always, remains mute.
