I sure wish you critics of Congress would let up a little. I'm sure you realize they fly home Thursday afternoon and return Monday night or Tuesday morning. They work a full two-and-a-half days and have many staffers to take care of the "details."
Don't you just wonder when you wake up what [Congress] is going to do today? Restrict your guns and ammo? Increase the already-high health care? Talk about using drones on us citizens?
As I read the ... Readers' Voice, I notice that the larger percentage of the comments are anti-Owebama. Who in the world elected him anyway? Oh, I forgot. He started out with a 47 percent head start.
Old joke: The floggings will continue until morale improves. New joke: The bombings will continue until everyone likes us.
I read where a bicyclist wants mutual respect between bike and vehicle owners. Well, bicyclists will get mutual respect when they start obeying traffic laws like they are supposed to and when they stop intentionally trying to slow down traffic. While we do have to share the roads ... vehicles are taxed to pay for the roads so they really should get preference.
To all of you gun haters out there, think about this: Every gun that kills has a human hand attached to it. ... Hold the people who actually commit the crimes accountable to the highest level. ... Severely punish the criminals, and I mean severely.
News media loves to fill the beginning of a story with the positive numbers and bury the negative numbers at the end knowing the average liberal won't read past the first couple paragraphs.
Memo to WV Legislature: Re: Vote on gun law. Stupid is as stupid does.
Since most gun owners and collectors say that a gun is just a tool, why don't they treat their other tools the same? Hammers, for instance. Collect 10 or 20, keep them oiled, use linseed oil on the handles, display them in racks in your home, keep them in humidity-controlled safes, and love them.
Why doesn't the West Virginia Legislature take up the reasonable drug testing of concealed weapons permit holders? ... And legal holders of concealed permits should welcome the testing, as it would weed out dangerous holders of this permit.
Well the thieves are at it again. Gas prices jumped 20 cents a gallon on Monday morning for no other reason except pure greed. I hope our legislators get their pockets full this time so maybe the prices will come back down.

Apparently this Jim Kinzer has never checked an unbiased fact-checking site.
Kudos to Kanawha delegates Guthrie, Poore and Wells for standing up to the gun lobby and voting against legislation to strip local authorities of the right to establish their own gun regulations.
Obviously standard background checks aren't enough to protect our little ones from sexual predators in the schools. What can be done? Parents need to talk to one another as well as school personnel about this problem now, not after it's too late again.
If you support the Rand Paul filibuster as well as the proliferation of guns in the United States, do you realize how much money and time is being wasted by government officials during this debate? God help you.
With all the problems of unemployment, health care, everything else, highways, everything falling apart in West Virginia, what does our Legislature do? Messes with gun rights legislation. For God's sakes, what's wrong with those people?
Research has shown that Obama is inventing his father's life. His father had so much trouble and pain in Kenya where they were born that Obama swore upon his father's grave that he was going to make the American people pay for the difficulties his father had.
This is for all you people that like to dump your trash in the road or over on the parking lot below Kmart next to the bridge. I'd like to let you know you're on camera from here on out. People are tired of picking up your trash out of their yard.
Once again the stupidity of the West Virginia Legislature is in full force. Sell guns to felons and close libraries. How idiotic can you be?
Concerning the purchasing of bottled water when a municipal water supply is better regulated and safer, H.L. Mencken said it best: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."
As I look at the problems facing our country today, I reflect on the elections of 2000 and 2004 and what policies were made and the cost. Time and history has told us (too late) that when we sent that man and his cohorts, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice to the White House, we put an unprepared, unqualified and self-important man in way over his head.
Thank you Poore, Guthrie, Wells and Skinner for voting your conscience against the House gun law. I can't believe responsible owners would object to an inconvenience in order to prevent irresponsible gun ownership. Hopefully, the Senate is wiser than the House.
I like to know why members of the Legislature think that it is the responsibility of the working people to let people who buy new cars have an alternative fuel tax credit when it is costing millions of dollars a year for the taxpayers of West Virginia.
