I agree with the comments made recently about the trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Take pride in your community. It is embarrassing, especially when friends and family visit from out of town.
The Goodwill and Salvation Army are now too high for anyone but the wealthy to shop in. It is wrong.
The 70-year-old traveler who isn't afraid needs to realize times are changing. Unemployment, drugs, gambling, home invasions and muggings are getting worse instead of better. Being armed in the event the unthinkable happens isn't being cowardly. It's called being prepared.
Please, let's get rid of Pete Thaw. Haven't we had enough of his nonsense? God save the libraries.
I keep hearing people say we have to keep Saturday mail delivery. I've tried, and I cannot come up with one good reason to keep it. I would be happy to see it go. I'd be even happier if they took the junk mail with it. I can happily live without both.
What Hillary thinks about anything is of no concern to me.
I applaud Gov. Tomblin for standing up to the teachers. Every year they try to hold the taxpayers hostage by protesting and threatening to walk out. As a taxpayer, the tactics used by the teachers offend me. I hope they don't get one cent until they become accountable for their job performance.
I find it unbelievable that I would ever be in agreement with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, but he is right concerning drones possibly being used against American citizens. In this matter, President Obama is wrong; drones should never be used against American citizens.
I can't believe our elected county officials actually believe a few "guns prohibited" signs in public buildings and at the airport are stopping bad guys from doing bad things.
You would think that any president who honestly has the best interests of the American people at heart would gladly have accepted the ability to choose what necessary cuts were to be made after he came up with the sequester idea.
I am such an idiot. I continue to trust.
