Apparently a good guy with a gun was killed in Mingo County. When will we see that there are way too many guns out there, making it way too easy for the "bad guys" to get them. We should not fear gun regulation. We should fear gun proliferation.
The new portrait is a perfect representation of Joe Manchin. He appears to be saying something but he's not saying anything.
So a corrections officer in Colorado, a district attorney in Texas, and a sheriff in West Virginia all are fatally shot within days of each other. What is it the NRA always says? Oh yeah, the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. That works.
The Solomon image of Jesus has been removed from Jackson County Schools, Ohio, once again. It's time the churches in Jackson create a Christian school and take their children out of the public schools.
Egads! The American meat industry is being feminized for political correctness. We now have to call a Boston Butt, which men have barbecued for centuries, a "bone-in pork shoulder!"
When a citizen with a concealed weapons permit kills a dog in a public park because he thinks it is bothering his dog, thereby endangering other citizens, his permit needs to be revoked. We are becoming a nation of armed hotheads who need little provocation to shoot off more than their mouths.
Perhaps the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau can fund the air traffic controllers for the Greenbrier Valley Airport, instead of pouring so much money in "Lewisburg-only" events.
Your headline said, "Few states 'able' to pass stricter legislation on firearms, ammo." These are democracies. They can do what they want. A more accurate (but less propagandistic) wording would be, "Few states 'choose' to pass stricter legislation on firearms, ammo."
Let's pretend it is raining in West Virginia and open the "rainy day fund" to finance the air traffic controllers for the three state airports on the FAA's chopping block. It would only be until Oct. 1, when the new federal budget goes into effect. Or, use tourism money.
