How many of you were outraged by the T-shirt incident in Logan? Now how many of you were also outraged over the incident in Sissonville a few years ago when Katie Sierra was expelled from school and eventually run out of town for expressing a message of peace on her shirt?
Say what you want about Bush. At least he was never afraid to call a terrorist a terrorist or a Muslim extremist a Muslim extremist. The Obama administration is afraid to do or say anything that might offend our enemies.
I can't believe a lot of so-called "experts" blame gun violence in the U.S on the mentally ill when we have no more mental illness than other countries. What we do have is more than 300 million guns out in the public.
For everyone that's always blaming the Republicans for things that occur, whether good or bad, what about the gun law that just could not even pass the Democrat-controlled Senate? So maybe you better look elsewhere for someone to blame.
I see nothing wrong with having students empty trash and sweep floors. It teaches them responsibility and that you should earn what you receive. We need to stop this mentality that the government is supposed to provide for all of our needs.
Dear gun-loving extremist, are you deliberately irrational or are you really unable to understand the difference between guns and cars or alcohol or knives? Guns are designed to kill. Cars, alcohol and knives are not.
To the reader who asked when Mayor Jones was going to pave the portion of Bigley Avenue between Spring Street and Hardee's: he most likely won't. That portion of Bigley is a state road and the responsibility of the WVDOH.
A proposed dog park on the West Side is a complete waste of real estate. Barking dogs and irresponsible pet owners already overrun the entire area.
I'll still support Senator Manchin in his next election, despite going over to the Brady bunch, because I'm a real Democrat. I just hope the 90 percent that supposedly support gun control will do the same.
