Kudos to Joseph Wyatt's op-ed piece about AG Morrisey and Jeremiah Dys, our own local attention sponges. Both of those hypocrites certainly do see themselves as saviors on white stallions to microscopic human embryos, when actually it is none of their business.
The director over the North Charleston softball fields have kicked us all off the fields, because we fixed the infield and cut the grass better than they could. They accused us of moving the mound, which is impossible. Literally, the mayor has no idea the type of idiots he has working for him, but I emailed him to fill him in.
I have driven the West Virginia Turnpike on a fairly regular basis for over 30 years. I have never had a wreck and have never had a problem. People need to stop blaming the road for all of the wrecks. The road is not the problem, the people driving on the road are the problem.
The major advantage of year-round schools will be an increase in home-schooled, Christian and private school enrollments. These enrollments will only double or triple. When there are no students, there is no need for teachers resulting in considerable savings to the county.
Some ill-informed venter made the ridiculous claim that paying fast food workers a decent wage would lead to $10-$20 Big Macs. If McDonald's paid 100 percent of their minimum wage employees $12.50 per hour, the increase in payroll could be recovered by increasing the cost of a Big Mac 17 cents. Must've been a GOP venter.
As a GW alum and former football player I can tell you that Coach Edwards has never nor will ever recruit players. It's not his fault that GW is one of the best academic schools and has a unique schedule that every student loves. Not to mention that Coach Edwards is a great coach and is very fun to be around. I'd bet my life on it.
The GOP want to probe women, probe borders, probe unemployed, probe poor, phone lines, probe e-mails, probe overseas mail, probe the White House. So why oh why do they resent probing their taxes? Maybe they might really find it there.
Heterosexuals ruined the traditional concept of marriage long before the debate over homosexuals getting married. If two people love each other and respect each other, leave them alone. You don't have to like it, just shut up about it. No one has the right to judge others.
The deficit for this year is currently $600 billion, and projected to wind up at a total of $670 billion at the end of the fiscal year. That's about 30 percent less than last year. And, as a percentage of our GDP, the deficit is less than half of what it was in 2009, when President Obama took office. It appears that President Obama's policies are working in spite of the obstructionist Republicans.
To the reader that said Bill Clinton's number in the draft lottery was too high, you are misinformed. Mr. Clinton was born in 1946 (same as me) and turned 18 in 1964. There was no lottery. At that time you signed up for the draft, you were called in for a physical and classified. Mr. Clinton dodged the draft with a college deferment.
WVU is getting $85 million from its media rights deal with IMG and will get $20 million or so a year from the Big 12, but Coach Holgorsen says because of schools like Marshall and East Carolina, he cannot afford to feed his players. Sounds to me like he really struggled with simple math back in elementary school.
If you do not know what a debit card is you are not living in the 21st century. Do you keep you bury you money in a Mason jar in the back yard or go to a check cashing location?
To the caller who wanted to know which branch of the military President Obama served in, I think it was the same branch that Romney, Cheney, Gingrich, McConnell, Limbaugh and Hannity also served in.If Egypt ousted Morsi can West Virginia do the same with Morrisey?
