I've watched [foreigners] build a number of local businesses in the state and never heard a peep from the trade unions. We should have put a stop to it years ago when there were the numbers to fight it instead of waiting and begging the government to fight for you now.
"The Butler" is little more than another attempt by liberal Hollywood to rewrite history. Yes the characters are based on real people but the story is fiction. The story is "based" on an actual person. If it was fact they would be advertising it as a biography.
The United States should stay out of Syria. It is their civil war and no business of ours whatsoever. Besides that, we don't even know which side is the good guys, if either is. Let them deal with their problem. They are not worth the trouble.
Why are people allowed to block a state road near the Mink Shoals school on a daily basis? This can and will cause accidents to people and property. Who is responsible to keep this highway open to the public? State Police or the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department?
Democrats (including The Charleston Gazette and WV Patriots for Peace), who hated the disaster movie "Iraq," seem to have no problem with its remake, "Syria," starring Joe Biden as Dick Cheney, John Kerry as Don Rumsfeld, and Nobel Peace Prize-winning Barack Obama as George W. Bush.
Out of 466 welfare recipients in Utah, only 12 tested positive for drugs the past few weeks. That deals a blow to the "welfare people are addicts" crowd. Now if we tested 466 rich people, I bet the number of positives would be much higher.
John Kerry is as certain that Syria has used chemical weapons as Don Rumsfeld was that Iraq had WMD.
I'd like to know where the poster got their information concerning the majority of WV welfare recipients voting Republican. Considering Democrats in office outnumber Republicans two to one here and it's been that way for decades, I'd have to question that.
Here we go again. The near-sighted, small-minded people are demanding that the minimum wage be increased yet again. I wonder why they are incapable of comprehending that increasing the minimum wage in no way helps the economy. It actually hurts it.
Excuse me. Why would anyone want to close down any successfully operating college in West Virginia? What can such a person possibly have against higher education? You have to feel sorry for such a person. They just don't get it.
Don't any of our leaders know that in past history the Trojan Horse was used to control a country and don't we have it here in this country at the present time? We need to wake up.
I think we need to get Lawton Posey a set of drums and send him down to the island. Good grief.
When I read about gun owners that own the handguns referencing 50- to 100-round per-minute bullets, that scares me a lot. Shows me he doesn't know what he's talking about and he's got a gun. Thanks again to the Charleston Gazette for their top quality opinion page of Aug. 26. Especially outstanding was E.J. Dionne's column.
