It looks like the punishment promised the Syrian dictator for crossing a red line and actually using chemical weapons has officially been canceled.
John 3:16 reads: "God gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life." Romans 1:16 reads: "The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes." This includes everyone (Muslims and Buddhists alike) who accepts Christ as their personal Savior.
We don't deny that chemical weapons were used, Mr. Obama. We just don't want to spend any more taxpayer money or risk any more U.S. soldiers to help those who cannot be helped. Those people enjoy turmoil. They have lived it and caused it for centuries. It's not worth it.
At least with George W. Bush in office we never had to wonder just whose side he was on. We never, one time ever, had to wonder if Putin had one-upped him or not. While Putin didn't like Bush, he respected him and knew that he would not stand by and let him take charge.
Brad Diller's cartoon, "Funday Morning," often shows people smoking -- in bars, no less. It's so politically incorrect. Why isn't Phil Kabler on the warpath about this?
We are supposed to be worried about much-needed wind farms killing bats? Are you honestly serious? We can't use oil, coal or natural gas, and now we are not supposed to use the wind because it might hurt bats? Come on, people. Stop losing your minds over this stuff.
To the callers wanting Joe DeForest fired: WVU would still be required to pay him his salary this season. He has a contract. It would cost well over $500,000 to fire him this year. He's a very good special teams coordinator. That unit is actually doing good this season.
I truly disliked the all-white uniforms and helmets that WVU wore against Oklahoma. But those yellow helmets are the worst ever. And what is with those numbers? WVU needs a new uniform designer and supplier. These two combos can easily be added to the all-yellow banana uniforms we suffered through in the past.
The op-ed by professor Khalil was excellent. Let's pray that Congress follows the British Parliament and votes against any military action in Syria.
As a rare neutral in the WVU vs. Marshall football ravings, I had believed that this year was the year that Marshall could defeat WVU in football. But after this week's results, I believe it would be a toss-up, with WVU favored.
