Who do these congressional criminals think they are? And who gave them a right to stand up as if this were a dictatorship and they are the dictators? We must remember this behavior at election time.
When the FBI is through investigating the corruption in Mingo County, please have them come to Marmet and Chesapeake. They will have a field day there.
It's hard to believe that one group in Congress is still able to walk after shooting itself in the foot so many times.
It is no wonder we are $17 trillion in debt with this kind of mismanagement. Forrest Gump should be running the government. Stupid is as stupid does.
Congratulations, Gazette, on your excellent articles on Rep. Capito's destructive votes and actions in her support of the government shutdown. Oh wait. You haven't published any. Never mind.
Don't blame President Obama for shutting down the parks, monuments, etc. Without a continuing resolution on the budget, it was the law (which are made by Congress) that forced all non-essential government operations to close. Fox News may have wanted you to believe it was all the president's doing, but a basic civics course would tell you otherwise.
The parents complaining about the condition of ball fields and courts at their schools: Don't they have athletic boosters at those schools? Aren't they somewhat responsible for those facilities? School boards are responsible for your kid's education, not their extracurricular activities.
If you are on welfare and since I pay your way through life, I should be able to tell you where to live, what to eat, and what to do to help me out. How about that? There's about as much chance of that happening as people being personally responsible for themselves. The only minority in this country these days are the people who work every day.
American POWs were tortured and a couple died because Hanoi Jane passed their notes to their captors. Nobody was tortured or killed because of Bush's actions.
Would someone please explain to me how regular gasoline can be at $3.39 a gallon at Glasgow and Cedar Grove, $3.39 a gallon in Fayetteville, but every gas station that's between Gauley Bridge and Smithers to Montgomery is $3.52 a gallon? We ought to point out every gas station in that area.
To people who host yard sales: please put cardboard behind your signs so they will not roll up. Also, make signs legible enough so you can see them. Also, you should put the town on the sign so that somebody will know where it's at.
The Washington Redskins got no monopoly on the word "redskins." What about redskin peanuts?
Bin Laden, in planning 9/11, hoped to accomplish wrecking the U.S. economy. Now we have some wack-a-doodle idiots, the tea party, attempting the same thing. Bin Laden would be so proud.
