They need to audit the $2 a week we pay to keep the roads paved in Charleston. They're just patching these horrible potholes with just a little bit of patch, but the property around the mayor's place in Kanawha City is beautifully paved. What's the deal here? Pave the rest of it. We paid for it.
Congratulations, Marshall. WVU needs to fire their coach and all their staff.
Why can the only police officer in Pratt live west of Charleston, but the mayor of Pratt has to live inside the city limits?
The U.S. House is only scheduled to work 19 days the rest of the year. Boy, would I like to have a job like that.
Just a quick observation. My wife and I are with an out-of-state phone carrier. I called trying to get some technical assistance. The operator was obviously from another country. I asked her where her call center was, and she told me "Indiana," which I thought was cute, since she had an Indian accent.
Best of luck, Oliver Luck. Hope you get the job. It'll be the best luck West Virginia's had in a couple of years.
How come the Goodwill charges almost as much as the stores do for their products? That is given to them and supposed to be for the poor. Why do they charge so much? If you don't have a good job and make minimum wage, you can't pay their high prices. Why don't they lower them?
A tribute to Chief Dave Berry, of Webster Springs, who served 66 years in the Webster Fire Department, 62 of those years being fire chief. Chief Berry passed away last Wednesday.
Telling the truth about Walmart ways and the billions their owners make must be working since they are now running commercials to tell everyone how great they treat their employees. How about it, employees, are the commercials correct? We do not need any more Walmarts in Kanawha County.
Probably the next statement from the NRA will be, "If everyone at LAX last Friday had been carrying an assault weapon, this needless shooting would not have happened."
Actually, it's John Boehner who resembles the Cowardly Lion. They're the same color, they both cry a lot, and they're both full of empty bluster. "Put 'em up! Put 'em up!"
To the person complaining about the Marshall sports announcer, you may need to buy a dictionary. The word "sophomore" should be pronounced with three syllables. It could be that he is just a little more educated than you.
I agree with the caller who said that the opposite of the tea party was the Communist Party. But do you remember who the communists were at war with during World War II? The USA has always been between those two extremes and always should be.
