They're talking about the suicide rates going up drastically for young vets, male and female, saying it's because they refuse to seek long-term health. They've seen what fools we were made of for seeking help as Vietnam vets, which is why we don't see, talk to or have any dealings with the VA.
In my life, I've come to realize that vicious personal attacks on a person's character merely come from envy, greed and jealousy. This is not God's way.
I consider Jeff Kessler as the Charlie Schumer of West Virginia. Wake up, people. Vote this dude out.
All this money spent on homeland security and chasing down al-Qaida. Maybe they need to chase down chemical companies that precariously close to our drinking water, poisoning us, and apparently going to get by with it.
I think the children should go to school on Martin Luther King Day to make up for their snow days and this water situation.
I hope someone can answer what are people supposed to do about these ice machines on their refrigerators and drinking water on their refrigerators.
If Gus Douglass violated federal or state law in administering those agricultural loan programs with taxpayer money, he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and go to jail -- no matter who he is. Anything else would be a disservice to the people and the taxpayers.
You are 100 percent right. The GOP wanted to negotiate with Obama, who was not interested in their deal. Their deal was to cut funds for education, veterans and help for the unemployed and other helpful programs for the middle class. Obama, Joe and Jay are for the middle class. Get your facts straight before calling Readers' Voice.
Another coal-related company pollutes the water for nine counties and 300,000 people -- and the Republican agenda for the West Virginia Legislature is to weaken legislation for businesses. So they want to allow companies easily dump whatever they want into the water and the air.
When I answered the person who said Jesus had nothing to say about gay people, I wanted people to be able to find the Scripture at Leviticus 18, verse 22, where this issue is mentioned.
I would like to see something said about what the timber company is doing to Little Elk Mountain between Belva and Summersville. It is a disgrace to the state of West Virginia.
Why did WVAW claim Cedar Grove, Glasgow and East Bank on their map when they do not supply water in those communities?
Of course the Benghazi tragedy could have been prevented if those in government had paid more attention to intelligence reports. Just as 9/11 could have been prevented if those in government had paid more attention to intelligence reports. And even Pearl Harbor if those in government had paid more attention to intelligence reports. The list goes on and on.
You have doctors, lawyers and schoolteachers regulating industries they have no experience in. The tank inspection rule is perfect example. Anybody with knowledge of chemicals could have explained to them the differences of producing, processing and storing chemicals. The chemical is the hazard, not what they're doing with it.
Did not take long for the attorneys to get hold of clients for a lawsuit over the Elk River spillage.
It's not right for people who eat at any restaurant to have their meals subsidized by the low pay of restaurant workers; it is just plain unfair.
The Obama administration and the mostly Democratic members of Congress who rammed through this horrendous health-care act are the ones who are forcing their beliefs on people, and not Joe Holland or any other employer. At least for now, we are free to spend our own money on birth control of any other product we want, and that, absolutely, is nothing that those we work for can control.
Carper's suing Freedom Industries. Good. The mess occurred in Kanawha County. Doesn't the county have any responsibility? If so, who's going to sue Carper?
While our politicians stuff their pockets with big coal's money, the real cost of coal continues to be paid by us, the people, while the politicians tell us how wonderful the coal economy is. Once again, big government has to come in and fix the problems -- because big coal and its subsidiaries don't need any regulation or oversight, they tell us. Manchin, Capito, Rahall, wake up!
The name "Freedom Industries" reminds me that "patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."
Now I can't even get a safe drink of water at the emergency water stations because the political hacks at Kanawha County are letting WVAWC serve us the same crap water that caused this fiasco.
