To the person blaming global warming for the current drought in California: Do you also blame global warming for the drought of the 1930s that caused the Dust Bowl?
I am one of those people that recently went on a Celebrity Cruise and caught a stomach virus on day two of the cruise and was sick for a few additional days after I returned home to nearby Hillsboro Beach, Fla. This cruise cost $1,000 for three days, and, with 2,000 people on board, I am wondering how many others got this same virus.
Oliver Luck is on a roll, sacking some of WVU's finest. First there was Bill Stewart, Mike Kerin, West Virginia Radio Corp., and now Mike Parsons. Meanwhile he has applied for several high-profile jobs around the country and hasn't landed any of them. Hopefully some "dumb luck" will eventually prevail and we'll be rid of him!
Watching all the lawyers salivate over the chemical spill reminded me why I detest them and their profession so much.

With this polluted, oily water, which we are told is safe, is anyone else noticing that you do not need to use moisturizers on your dry winter skin after a shower because of the oily residue it leaves on your body?
The water company and the government want us to shut up and be good little lab rats!
So the Koch brothers and their money are in Charleston and got a big welcome from some rich, crazy people. As far as I am concerned, if a candidate is backed by the Koches and all that money, it is just like being endorsed by Adolf Hitler.
It is a shame to see that Americans For Prosperity are rallying here in West Virginia. Their smear political campaigns have ran them out of Iowa, and yet they feel the need to come to West Virginia, with billionaire Koch brothers for backing, to do nothing more but harm West Virginians, who have gone through enough as of late. Blocking environmental safety regulations is exactly what we need.
