The bins of Kanawha County recycling are overflowing with glass, paper, everything you can recycle, especially plastic, because of this bottled water we have been using. Empty them once in a while. Maybe more people will learn to recycle, which is something we should have been doing for the last 50 years.
No one seems to be addressing what to do to get clean, safe drinking water. We've heard about plans for the future, but we need water now. If everyone's flushed their pipes and there's no more chemical in the river, there's only one more connection, and that is the water company. They should be doing something to clean up the water.
It seems that the Board of Education is lawyering up in preparation for the suit from Jorea Marple. That's a bad waste of taxpayer dollars.
The snowplow drivers in eastern Kanawha County were running up and down the road, basically mashing the snow into the ground. What were they doing, because our roads are still a mess.
If ever I had a team of any kind, I would want Ken Ward and Eric Eyre on it. They're great.
I don't think it's fair the water company taking all this flak for someone else's criminal carelessness.
Why doesn't one of the congressmen or senators ask why in the dickens did we ever allow them to put a water treatment plant below a chemical plant? Someone would have to be stupid to do that.
Don't get me wrong. I support my public library, but Kanawha County now says they have an undisclosed reserve to run the library for another year. Where did this money come from? How much is it and why do they want to raise our taxes with a levy?
I would hate to be the judge who allowed same-sex marriage, the taking of prayer out schools and now the legalization of marijuana. I'd hate to face the Lord and say, "Yes, that was me."
If you think it's wrong that the state gives $1 million to the golf tournament at The Greenbrier, how do you feel about it giving funding to the casino and dog track?
