Thank you Gov. Tomblin for your announcement at 9:15 a.m. on 2/13/2014 that "non-essential" state workers need not report for work. Unlike your higher-paid personnel who most normally don't show up until after 11, most of your "not-essential" personnel had already been at their job by 8. Our previous governor pulled this "day late and dollar short" policy during his term, so keep up the "good" work.
More and more delays in the Affordable Care Act. This "enema" which was given to us by the Dems has been nothing short of a catastrophe from start to finish, and we are not even aware if a single person has paid a premium into it. This country is being run into the ground by Barack Obama and nobody makes a move to stop him. Hurry November!
There would be three branches of government if Congress would do its job. The president is doing what he has to do to compensate for a do-nothing congress.
People who drive too slow are just as dangerous as people who drive too fast. Neither should be allowed on the road. And at a four-way stop, whether a light or a sign, the car turning right has the right of way, unless it is otherwise posted. 35th street and Childress road are good examples. The people turning left think they have the right of way. They don't.
If you don't believe there are lazy people on welfare, draining the lifeblood out of the working, taxpaying Americans, just drive through or even near any housing project. You will see at anytime of the day or night your hard-earned tax dollars being wasted on healthy people with no desire to work.
If you think curling is a silly sport, I genuinely feel sorry for you. Curling is one of the most fascinating, sublime, and gentlemanly sports there is. The strategy is so intricate that it's been described as "chess on ice." Stick with the barbarism of football if curling is too much to wrap your little brain around.
Yes, everyone should read Michael Crichton's book, "State of Fear." I did. Then, they should go to the Union of Concerned Scientist's website that was set up to dispute Crichton's assertions. They clearly show that Crichton doesn't know what he is talking about. Michael Crichton was a well-known writer of fiction. End of story.
