All the elected county officials do not need a pay raise, nor do they need an automatic increase every two years. Remember to vote out the legislators who proposed this. West Virginians are way overtaxed already. It's not our responsibility to take care of their retirement or insurance.
People are so rude. They'll knock you down or run over top of you to get to a salad or food bar.
Almost everyone who uses tobacco became addicted in their teen years. Why do we tolerate corporations addicting children to a deadly drug?
One good thing about snow is, it covers up all the trash and debris along the side of the road on Washington and Virginia streets and up on the hill and especially behind the Family Dollar on the West Side. Thank you, God, for letting it snow and covering that trash up.
Who does Randy Huffman thinks he is? You can't have the chief of the state environmental protection agency telling the chemical and coal industry that they have to promulgate regulations that actually protect the citizens of West Virginia. Just let Earl Ray and his industry overlords tell us what is good for us and let all those unregulated chem tanks be. What could go wrong?
Today I curled my hair. It was far more exciting and rewarding than watching the Olympic curling "sport."
I left a bag with $60 worth of cosmetics and paid sales ticket at the entrance to the Elder-Beerman store in Hurricane Friday night at 8 p.m. I called the store at 8:30 and the bag was not to be found. Whoever took it, remember: Taking something you did not pay for is stealing.
Telling people "it's your decision" shows Earl Ray spent too much time in backroom politics.
So 300,000 people are dealing with tainted water from a chemical spill into a nine-county water system and the contribution of our attorney general is to cite one gas station for raising prices on bottled water? He should spend time going after the chemical company that caused the spill in the first place.
When laws relax and make the lives of gays easier, we're "evolving." When laws relax and make the lives of gun owners easier, we're mouth-breathing troglodytes. Gotta love The Charleston Gazette.
