Field Notes

Women's event

The Charleston Cabela's store will hold a Ladies' Day Out celebration April 6 featuring Wirt County native and former prisoner of war Jessica Lynch.

The all-day event will feature demonstrations of hunting and fishing techniques. Lynch will be present from 1-3 p.m. and will speak on perseverance and her life experiences. All seminars and events are free and open to the public.
