Crow hike set for Kanawha State Forest

By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The highly intelligent but often under-appreciated American crow is the subject of a Bird of the Month hike scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday from the swimming pool area at Kanawha State Forest.

KSF naturalist Sara Miller and master naturalist Lynn Hartman will lead the Halloween-themed event, which will include kid-friendly stories of real-life crow antics and a visit to the Clever Crows of Kanawha State Forest. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 304-558-3500.
