Fishing rodeo set for this weekend
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Indoor Clean Air Program will sponsor a fishing rodeo from 2 to 6 p.m. Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 10, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 314 Donnally St.
The swimming pool will be stocked with 300 pounds of trout, with an average size is 1 1/2 pounds. There are also 10 tagged fish, and whoever catches them will receive a prize.
Fishing is free for youths 13 and under, while adults and teens 14 and over pay $10 per day. This is a tobacco-free event. Parking is available on the back parking lot, under the interstate from Court Street.
