SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A musky, a swallowtail butterfly, a snowy owl and other critters are featured in the 2013 edition of the West Virginia Wildlife Calendar.

A pair of male and female goldfinches is featured on the cover.

Division of Natural Resource wildlife resources chief Curtis Taylor says the calendar also has articles on the DNR's trout restoration program, improving fisheries in Cheat Lake and the importance of white-tail deer in the state.

There also are wildlife facts, the best fishing days and times, and the 2013 hunting and fishing fees.

The $10 calendar can be purchased at DNR district offices, department stores, newsstands, convenience store and food stores across the state. The DNR has posted a list of vendors selling the calendar at www.wvdnr.gov/Wildlife/WildlifeCalendar.shtm.
