Kanawha State Forest Foundation to celebrate West Virginia Day

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Kanawha State Forest Foundation will celebrate West Virginia's 149th birthday on Sunday with a free West Virginia Day concert, along with free birthday cake and soft drinks.

The concert, featuring the Kanawha Valley Community Band, begins at 3 p.m. near the Kanawha State Forest swimming pool. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic supplies.
