A ribbon cutting ceremony to open the dog park will kick things off at 1 p.m. Mystic Mountain Blueberry will perform from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Amphitheatre. Vendor booths will offer doggie treats, outfits, harness leashes and other pet-related supplies for sale.

Refreshments for both pooches and their human companions will be provided by Paula Vega Cakes and Beggin' 4 More. An Owner/Pooch Look-A-Like Contest will be held at 2 p.m. and the Puttin' on the Dog-Best Dressed Dog contest will follow at 2:30 p.m. The Cutest Dog Contest begins at 3 p.m. and the So Ugly I'm Adorable contest starts at 3:30 p.m. Ribbons will be awarded to all first- through third-place winners. First place winners will also receive a gift basket courtesy of Petsafe. All contests will be held inside the Amphitheatre in front of the stage.

Owners can get their dogs bathed at the Petsafe dog wash station and all freshly bathed dogs will receive a Petsafe bandana and Lickety Stik treat. Donations for each wash will be accepted and all proceeds will go toward the construction of the second phase of Huntington's Petsafe Dog Park. Owners and their pets may bid on many pet-related treats, costumes, toys and other pet essentials at the 2nd Phase Silent Auction. The auction will begin at 1:30 p.m. and close at precisely 3:30 p.m. All money raised from the auction will be used toward the second phase of the dog park.
