Marshall will play host to the Blazers at noon on Oct. 24 and the game will be carried live by CSS. Marshall has four football games scheduled to be televised this season, and additional televised games may be announced at a later date.

KANAWHA COACHES: Five high school head coaching positions were filled during Monday's Kanawha County School Board meeting. Hired were Michelle McGinnis at Riverside (girls basketball), John Crain at Sissonville (wrestling), Daniel Kinder at South Charleston (cross country), Michael Moyers at South Charleston (softball) and Brittany Ruddle at South Charleston (volleyball).

AMATEUR GOLF: Justin Pugh was the medalist at the West Virginia Amateur Qualifier Wednesday at Locust Hill Golf Club in Charles Town. Pugh carded a 5-over-par 149.

JUNIOR TOUR: Clark Priddy of Nitro shot a 3-under-par 67 to claim Round of the Day honors at the Top Flite Junior Tour regular season-closing event Wednesday at Riverside Golf Club in Mason.
The tour moves to the Greenbrier Resort July 30 for the Tour Championship, where the top 24 players in each age division will battle it out for Player of the Year honors. LEGION BASEBALL: Andrew Pickering worked six innings to get the win and went 4-for-4 with a home runs and drove in five runs Wednesday to lead South Charleston Post 94 to a 15-4 win over Parkersburg Post 15 in the Area 3 American Legion baseball tournament at SC High School.

In the second game, Beckley led Parkersburg 5-1 in the third inning when rain suspended play. That game will resume at 5:30 tonight, with SC playing the winner afterward.

WVC FOOTBALL: For the first time, the annual West Virginia Conference Football Media Day will be available to television viewers and via the internet.
The Aug. 1 event, featuring all nine of the league's head coaches, will be aired at noon by WLTV-14 in the Northern Panhandle. The media conference will also be streamed live at www.wviac.org.
Media day will also provide an interactive opportunity for WVC fans to query their favorite coach. Questions may be submitted at wviac.org, with selected questions used during the event.

WVU FAN CLUB: The Charleston West Virginia University Fan Club will meet at 7 tonight at Harding's Restaurant off the Mink Shoals exit of Interstate-79. It was previously reported that the meeting was to be held Wednesday night.
