The MU baseball team will hold walk-on tryouts on Sept. 8. Students planning to try out must be full-time students at Marshall. Individuals should go to Room 2027 at the Cam Henderson Center and meet with Assistant Compliance Director Erik Paz to fill out paperwork. AUTISM FUNDRAISER: A fundraising auction to benefit the Applied Behavior Learning Center will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Appalachian Power Park before the West Virginia Power game against the Rome Braves.
Participants may purchase ticket vouchers for $5 and be part of the auction for the following items: throwing out the first pitch; guest public address announcer; two box seats for a game; picture with a player; autographed baseball; four party deck passes; lead singing for "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."
Half of the voucher sales and all of the proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the Applied Behavior Learning Center, a special school that applies applied behavior therapy techniques to help children with autism so they may be mainstreamed into a regular classroom.
