Ohio Valley impermissibly allowed an ineligible student-athlete to participate in contests on Jan. 2, 5, 7 and 9, and those games will be considered forfeit losses for OVU in the WVC standings. The matter has been reported to the NCAA for action by the enforcement and championship staffs.

MARSHALL SOFTBALL: Marshall's Andi Williamson was named the Conference USA softball pitcher of the week. Williamson struck out a 19 in 151/3 innings and posted a 0.91 ERA in wins over Charleston Southern and Akron.

WVC SPORTS: Concord's Jolysa Brown and Fairmont State's Kaitlin Snyder earned West Virginia Conference women's basketball co-player of the week honors.
Brown guided the Mountain Lions to a 2-0 week, averaging 24 points and 12.5 rebounds while dishing out 5.5 assists per contest. Snyder, a former Sissonville standout, averaged 26.3 points, 6.3 assists and five rebounds to help the Falcons go 2-1 on the week.
West Liberty's Alex Falk has earned conference honors in men's basketball. Falk propelled the Hilltoppers to a 3-0 week, averaging over 20 points, including 12 points and four assists in a win over Atlantic Region No. 4 Alderson-Broaddus.

Davia went 4-for-6 for the Cardinals in a sweep of Slippery Rock, the No. 5 team in last week's NCBWA Atlantic Region top 10. Haggerty threw six innings for the Big Blues in a 9-2 win over Morehouse, striking out seven while giving up just one earned run.The Wheeling Jesuit men's and women's swim teams won the Appalachian Swimming and Diving Conference championship Saturday in Barbourville, Ky. The Jesuit men flew to five first-place finishes and captured their third straight ASC title by a 237-point margin over Asbury (645-408). The Cardinal women soared to claim the women's title, claiming six races in a 556.5-510 victory. Wheeling Jesuit also posted a combined team score of 1,201.5, which was 283.5 points better than runner-up Asbury.nnHOOPS CLINIC: Sports City U Basketball Academy in Hurricane will be hosting a shooting and offensive skills clinic from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday for boys and girls ages 9-13.
