MARSHALL SPORTS: The Marshall golf finished in 15th place after two rounds Monday at the Wexford Plantation Invitational in Hilton Head, S.C. Bosten Miller shot a 73 Monday and was the Herd's top player, tied for 38th.
Conference USA announced Tuesday that the Marshall softball game at Memphis at 5 p.m. March 17 will be televised by Fox Sports Net. It will be the only time the Herd softball team will make a television appearance this season.

WVU GYMNASTICS: West Virginia's Hope Sloanhoffer has been named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League co-gymnast of the week. Sloanhoffer, who claimed the award for the third time this season, led WVU to a first-place finish at the Maryland quad meet last Saturday.

TECH VOLLEYBALL: WVU Tech announced the signing of Jacque Carroll for the upcoming season. Carroll earned all-state, all-district and all-region honors while at United Christian Academy of Virginia.

WVC TENNIS: Bluefield State's Piotr Kruk was named the West Virginia Conference's men's player of the week after leading the Big Blues to a win over Charleston.
The University of Charleston moved into the NCAA Division II coaches poll for the first time this year. The Golden Eagles, winners of their last nine game, check in at No. 25.
UC (21-5, 16-4 West Virginia Conference) will try to prove the ranking is deserved as it travels to face Concord at 7:30 tonight at the Carter Center in Athens.
Charleston squeaked by Seton Hill last Saturday 82-78 at home. Concord (14-10, 11-9) enters the game in sixth place in the WVC and rides a four-game winning streak, including a 77-66 victory Saturday at Fairmont State.
UC downed the Mountain Lions 82-70 at the Eddie King Gym on Dec. 17.
West Virginia State looks to make a late push to move up in the standings. The seventh-place Yellow Jackets (13-11, 11-9) take on Glenville State at 7:30 tonight at the Lilly Gymnasium in Glenville.WVSU has won three of its last four games, including Saturday's 73-57 home contest over Pitt Johnstown. Glenville State (6-18, 5-15) has lost five of its last six, most recently a 103-88 contest Saturday at West Liberty.
State picked up a 71-62 win over the Pioneers on Jan. 21 at Fleming Hall.
nnMIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL: The Kanawha County Middle School boys basketball championship game between Stonewall Jackson and Dunbar will be held at 7 tonight at John Adams Middle School. John Adams and Horace Mann will play the consolation game at 5:30.
