Tyrek Collier, a linebacker from Charles Town, was a two-time all-state honoree at Washington High School, offensive lineman Daniel Berry of Morgantown High was named to the all-state first team and Martinsburg's Josh Harwood was also a first-team all-state selection.

nnUC SOFTBALL: Charleston split a pair of games on Friday in Greenville, Tenn. UC fell 3-1 to Tusculum in the opener and defeated Augusta State 3-2 in the nightcap.
In the second game, Micki Murzynski went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for the Golden Eagles, while Emily Fultz went the distance, allowing five hits and striking out three.
