The Tourists (3-3) trailed 1-0 before erupting for four runs in the bottom of the second, including a solo home run by Tyler Massey.
The Power (1-5) scored single runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings, but Asheville reclaimed the lead in the seventh when David Kadilas scored on a single by Harold Riggins.
West Virginia tied the game in the eighth on a wild pitch from Nelson Gonzalez that plated Greg Polanco. The Power's Alen Henson walked to lead off the ninth but was left stranded at third.
Gonzalez (1-0) picked up the win in relief, walking two and striking out two. Alex Gillingham pitched five innings and gave up three runs on eight hits in the start for Asheville.
De Leon (0-1) allowed the one run on one hit and walked two in 11/3 innings. Power starter Nick Kingham surrendered four runs on six hits and issued two walks in 11/3 innings.
The Power and the Tourists close out their three-game series at 11:05 a.m. today at McCormick Field. The Power's home opener is set for Thursday night against Greenville.
