  • HURRICANE 17, HUNTINGTON 0: Nicole Pierson, Addie Fullen and Sara Green all hit home runs for host Hurricane. Courtney Rogers struck out seven in three innings for the Redskins (18-2).
  • GW 7, NITRO 6: Tori Hill capped a four-run seventh inning rally by scoring on a wild pitch as the Patriots eked out a home win. Brittany Potter was 2-for-4 with an RBI for George Washington (6-9).
  • Katee Jones had three hits for Nitro.

  • POCA 7, RIVERSIDE, OHIO 5: Madi McGrew lifted two home runs and collected three RBIs as Poca won at the Grand Strand Classic at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
  • Lauren Harrison was 2-for-3 with a triple for the Dots.

  • RIPLEY 4, NIAGARA FALLS 1: Ali Cunningham pounded out a trio of hits as Ripley picked up a win at the Grand Strand Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Kala Ford was 2-for-3 for the Vikings (11-5).
  • Toni Polk had two hits and a triple for Niagara Falls, N.Y.

  • SCOTT TAKES TWO: The Skyhawks took a pair of mercy-rule victories in the Class AA division of the Best of the Best Tournament in Buffalo, defeating Sissonville 10-0 in three innings and Shady Spring 8-0 in six innings.
  • Ally Brown limited the Indians to four hits in the first game and went 2-for-2 with four RBIs. She also went 2-for-4 against Shady as the Skyhawks (6-13) lashed out 18 hits. Jennifer Miller limited the Tigers to one hit in the second game and Kellian Strange went 4-for-4.

    Scott plays Chapmanville to wrap up AA pool play Saturday morning.
