Lexington shuts out Power 4-0

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Luis Ordosgoitti allowed four hits in 71/3 innings as the Lexington Legends shut out the West Virginia Power 4-0 Wednesday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Ordosgoitti (1-1) faced 27 batters, walking three and striking out four for the Legends (24-21. Murilo Gouvea and Dayan Diaz combined to hold to West Virginia scoreless in the final 12/3 innings.

Matt Duffy went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored for Lexington, while Jordan Scott added a triple and a run scored.

Robby Rowland (0-1) gave up two runs on four hits and struck out three in four innings for the Power, while Pofirio Lopez surrendered two runs on three hits in three innings. Rinku Singh walked one, struck out one and hit one batter in the eighth for West Virginia (14-32).

The Power batters were limited to four singles, one each for Willy Garcia, Junior Sosa, Dan Gamache and Chris Lashmet.

The Power returns to Appalachian Power Park to open a three-day, four-game set against the Kannapolis Intimidators at 7:05 tonight. Scott Snodgress (1-2, 4.99 ERA) is scheduled to start for Kannapolis, while the Power has not named its starter.
