Roundup: Power rained out, 2 games tonight

The West Virginia Power game with Delmarva Thursday was postponed due to rain. The Power and the Shorebirds will play a doubleheader starting at 6:05 tonight.

Zack Dodson (4-5, 5.36 ERA) will start the first game for the Power against Delmarva's Miguel Chalas (8-4, 4.79), while Robby Rowland will climb the hill for West Virginia in the nightcap against the Shorebirds' Williams Louico (0-2, 4.25).

The Power also announced Thursday that right-handed pitcher Clario Perez was transferred to State College, while left-hander Porfirio Lopez was transferred in from Bradenton.

  • KEVIN JONES BASKETBALL CAMP: Former WVU basketball player Kevin Jones will hold a basketball camp at George Washington High School July 27-29 for boys and girls ages 7-16. Fellow Mountaineers Da'Sean Butler and Truck Bryant will also be at the camp.

  • WVU's women's soccer match against Oklahoma Oct. 18 at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown will be broadcast by Fox Soccer Channel.

  • LOCAL SWIMMING: YMCA Barracuda Swim team member Majester Abdul-Jalil holds a pair of YMCA national top times. Abdul-Jalil is ranked seventh in the 50-yard breaststroke and fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke among 11-year olds in the country.
