The Golden Bears, who announced their schedule Monday, then host Ohio Valley Oct. 30. Tech travels to Virginia-Wise on Nov. 2-3 for a tournament, returning home Nov. 5 against Bluefield State before traveling to the Rio Grande Bevo Francis Tournament Nov. 9-10.
During the Thanksgiving break, they travel to Bluefield for their final regular-season tournament, facing Division II opponent Lander and Chowan.
Tech finishes the season Feb. 23 at WVU-Parkersburg.

WVC HONORS: The University of Charleston's Rob Vincent has earned conference men's soccer accolades. Vincent helped keep the No. 12 Golden Eagles unbeaten on the season, notching two goals and an assist while guiding UC to a 1-0-1 week.
Davis & Elkins freshman Taylor Morton has been tabbed conference women's soccer player of the week.
For the second consecutive week, Wheeling Jesuit's Jenna Pew has been named conference volleyball player of the week.

PREP SOCCER: The Hurricane boys and girls soccer teams are ranked No. 12, respectively, in Region 4 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Charleston Catholic girls are No. 15 in Region 4 while Morgantown is sixth. On the boys side, Parkersburg is No. 15.
Catholic took over the top spot in the Class AA-A girls state coaches association rankings while Hurricane (AAA boys), Catholic (AA-A boys) and Morgantown (AAA girls) remained No. 1 in their respective rankings. (See Page 2B for rankings.)
Winfield (No. 5) and George Washington (No. 7) were the only other Kanawha Valley teams in the top 10 in AAA boys, while South Charleston moved up to No. 11. Sissonville was second in AA-A boys. Hurricane (second), Winfield (third), GW (fifth) and Capital (seven) were in the top 10 in AAA girls. Sissonville was fourth in AA-A girls.

nnWVU SPORTS: The Big 12 Conference has announced that the Sept. 22 non-conference football contest against Maryland at Milan Puskar Stadium will be aired on FX at noon.
Freshman right-handed pitcher Brock Dykxhoorn of the West Virginia baseball team finished with a Silver medal at the IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship, playing for the Team Canada Junior National Team on Sunday in Seoul, South Korea.Dykxhoorn was one of the top pitchers in the tournament, posting a 2-0 record with an earned-run average of 0.73 in three appearances. He allowed one run on six hits in 121/3 innings, while striking out eight.
nnTECH CROSS COUNTRY: WVU Tech's men's cross country team finished seventh overall at the Washington & Lee Invitational in Lexington, Va. Zach White led the Golden Bears, finishing in 31st place in 33:12.
nnLOCAL GOLF: PGA professional Scott Davis of Hurricane finished tied for 21st at the Tri-State PGA TaylorMade/adidas Classic at Green Oaks Country Club in Verona, Pa., Monday.
Davis finished his round with a 4-over-par 75. However, Davis earned a seventh place finish with that score in the senior division of the event.
