"Tailgater Monthly'' ranks WVU No. 11 for best tailgating atmosphere on college football game days. The online September issue says West Virginia fans are serious about their tailgating, "and the football is good.''
The Mountaineers also rank as the best tailgate experience among their new Big 12 Conference counterparts, ahead of TCU, Oklahoma and Texas.
The top three? USC, followed by Ohio State and Alabama.
The magazine has ranked college tailgates each September since 2009.
