Concord QB's career over after accident
Advertiser

Concord football coach Garin Justice says quarterback Zack Grossi's playing career is over due to a car accident.

Grossi was injured in a crash Monday in Mercer County. Sheriff's officers say Grossi was in an SUV that was struck by a Jeep on State Route 20 between Athens and Princeton. The Jeep's driver was cited for failure to yield.

A senior, Grossi has thrown for more than 7,000 yards. Last year he led the Mountain Lions to their first West Virginia Conference championship since 1990.

Concord hosts the University of Charleston Saturday in both schools' WVC opener.
