Prep soccer: South Charleston boys blank SA

Isaac Cosby scored twice and Kwesi Wilkerson had two assists as South Charleston defeated host St. Albans (1-8-1) 4-0 in boys soccer Wednesday.  Myles Gift and Chris Brown also had goals for the Black Eagles (7-3).

Girls soccer

  • SA 12, SC 0: Hannah Myers scored three goals for visiting St. Albans. Katie Smith and Kayla Thumm chipped in with two goals apiece for the Red Dragons (2-4-1), while Mackenzie Albert, Audrey Goode, Madison Albert, Maddie Rudge and Maddie Cogar tallied once each.
  • RIVERSIDE 1, NITRO 0: Rachel Daw scored a goal off a corner kick from Erin Hendricks in the opening half as Riverside held off Nitro on Tuesday. Lauren Sparks turned in 13 saves for the Warriors (7-4-1). Becca Hall made nine saves for the Wildcats (4-5).
