The University of Charleston's improved to 7-0-2 with a 2-0 men's soccer win Thursday at Pitt-Johnstown.
The teams were scoreless at the half prior to UC scoring twice in the late stages of the game. Brett Elliott found the back of the net on a pass from teammate Renan Ramos in the 66th minute from the top of the penalty box. UC also benefited from a Pitt-Johnstown own goal in the 77th minute.
UC goalkeeper Sean Teepen was not tested often and only had to make two saves.

For GW, Haley Claudio scored and Olivia Miller made eight saves.CATHOLIC 2, CAPITAL 1: Caroline Dundervill scored the game-winning goal late on an assist from Payton Mullen to secure the win for visiting Charleston Catholic. Tracy Gibson gave Capital (8-9) an early lead on a free kick before Mullen evened the score in the second half for Catholic (10-4-2) on a penalty kick.HOOVER 3, POCA 1: Leslie Taylor and Hannah Schoolcraft each had a goal and an assist for Herbert Hoover in a win against visiting Poca (6-8-1). Sophie Bumgarner and Caroline Dundervill scored the other goals for the Irish (9-4-2) who had assists from Bumgarner, Dundervill and Sarah Joseck. Bess McNabb and Erica Cullen scored for Ravenswood (4-8-1).
