Hoover Hall of Fame induction set Thursday

Herbert Hoover High School will be inducting its third annual class into its Athletic Hall of Fame with a ceremony Thursday night at the school. 

Stephen Chandler, Matt Fleshman, Dave Gandee, Anita Holbert King, Richard Stump and Robin Vealey will be honored for their on-field accomplishments, Pete Kelley will be enshrined for his contributions in coaching and athletic administration and Charles Watt Jr. will be recognized as a valued friend of the program for years of volunteer service.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and will feature a social hour followed by induction of the honorees. The Hall of Fame class of 2012 will also be recognized at halftime of the Hoover-Scott football game on Oct. 12. Tickets for both events may be purchased by contacting the school at 304-965-3394.
