Roundup: WVU hoops tickets go on sale Monday

Spriggs fired a 2-under-par 70 to win the event's Silver Division and claim the overall low round of the day award. Hurricane's Harold Payne and Huntington's Steve Fox tied for the lead in the Senior Division, with each shooting a 77.

  • MU SPORTS: Marshall will host the second-annual West Virginia Games, a competition for all West Virginia colleges that field swimming and diving teams, starting today.

    Seven schools - Marshall, West Virginia, WVU Tech, West Virginia Wesleyan, Davis & Elkins, Wheeling Jesuit and Fairmont State - will compete in the two-day event. WVU is the defending champion. Events being at 4 p.m.

  • Marshall baseball will begin its annual Fall World Series today at 3 p.m. Games will run through Sunday and will also take place Oct. 19-21.
  • A potential game seven would take place the following week. Pitchers Wayland Moore will face the Green team's Chase Boster in today's game with Zachary Shockley scheduled to go against St. Albans native Michael Taylor on Saturday.
