The Redskins (5-2), who led 24-0 at halftime, entered the game tied with Logan for 10th in Class AAA.
"We played a good game against a good team,'' said Hurricane coach Jeremy Taylor. "We discovered lots of holes we need to fill before our next game, but the kids did well and it was a hard-fought win.''
Hurricane's Alex Lucas led the team in rushing with 74 yards on four carries, including a 67-yard TD run on the game's final play.
In addition to their 453 yards of offense, the Redskins played solid defense, Taylor added.
"We were able to shut down what they do well and make them do other things,'' he said. "Defense was our key tonight.''
Zach Cooper led the Redskin defense with 10 tackles, including a sack.
For Greenbrier East (2-5), Isaiah Kinder scored on a 2-yard run and threw a 30-yard scoring pass to Tyler Olexo.
