WVC football: UC upends No. 24 UNC Pembroke 42-30

  • WEST LIBERTY 17, SHEPHERD 16: No. 25 Shepherd missed an extra-point attempt with 1:33 to play and West Liberty's Marco Ricchetti recovered an onside kick to preserve the win at home for the Hilltoppers.
  • West Liberty (4-3, 3-2) was led by quarterback Dylan Lagarde's 242 passing yards on 18 completions. Tristen Devers caught five passes for 90 yards and Kenjay Trueblood ran for a touchdown in the Hilltopper win.

    For Shepherd (5-2, 4-1), quarterback Bobby Cooper connected on 19 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown.

  • FAIRMONT 49, WESLEYAN 32: Fairmont State erased an early West Virginia Wesleyan lead en route to the home win at Duvall-Rosier Field.
  • Wesleyan (2-5, 1-3) led 14-9 early in the second quarter before the Falcons (2-4, 2-2) found their bearings. FSU quarterback Bobby Vega threw for 256 yards and five touchdowns with Matt Wilmer catching seven passes for 163 yards and three scores. Running back Daniel Monroe ran for a game-high 147 yards and one touchdown for Fairmont.

  • CONCORD 29, SETON HILL 26: Darrick Williams caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Evin Dusold to give Concord a late lead and the Mountain Lions hung on to for the win at Seton Hill.
  • The Griffins (0-7, 0-4) led throughout most of the game. Quarterback Andrew Jackson completed 22 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns in the loss.

    For Concord (4-3, 2-3), Dusold threw for two touchdowns and 225 yards while Calvinaugh Jones ran for a 123 yards with one touchdown.
