Glenville State's Rahmann Lee scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter in Buckhannon Saturday afternoon to put the game out of reach, leading the Pioneers to a 28-21 win over West Virginia Wesleyan.
Lee, who gained 147 yards on 19 carries, also had a 46-yard touchdown in the second quarter to go with scores on runs of 28 and 3 yards in the final period to help the Pioneers (4-4, 4-1 WVC) keep pace in the race for the WVC title.
For West Virginia Wesleyan (2-6, 1-4), quarterback Nate Montana went 37 of 64 for 432 yards through the air.
FSU took a 47-24 lead before the Griffins stormed back with 23 points in less than four minutes to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
Running back Daniel Monroe led Fairmont State (3-4, 3-2 WVC) with 136 rushing yards and 103 receiving yards. Falcon quarterback Bobby Vega threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns.
Seton Hill (0-8, 0-6 WVC) amassed 486 yards of total offense but could not get much going on the ground with 432 yards through the air and just 54 rushing yards.
Concord took a 7-0 lead when Nate Pollard returned a blocked field goal 58 yards for a touchdown. CU led the game 13-7 after a Ben Nester touchdown before the Flames score the game's final 14 points to secure the win.
The Mountain Lions (4-4, 3-2 WVC) got 130 passing yards from Evin Dusold. Jake Lilly led the team with 18 tackles.
Concord stayed in the game despite being held to six first downs and 177 net yards and trailing in time of possession 40:38 to 19:22.
