Golden Bears' senior David Rawlinson was honored as tournament MVP after scoring 41 points in the championship game. Tech's Terrale Clark was also named to the all-tournament team.
WVU SOCCER: West Virginia lost to Princeton 2-1 in the opening round of the NCAA women's tournament. The Tigers got goals from Lynessa McGeee and Jen Hoy, the Ivy League player of the year. WVU (11-5-4) got a late goal from Frances Silva.
WVC VOLLEYBALL: Wheeling Jesuit will be the No. 1 seed in the West Virginia Conference volleyball tournament, with Seton Hill, Fairmont State and Alderson-Broaddus filling out the rest of the top four, who all get byes in the first round.
All first-round games are scheduled for Monday and are at the higher seed's home court. No. 9 West Virginia Wesleyan plays No. 8 Shepherd, No. 10 Concord takes on No. 7 West Virginia State, No. 11 West Liberty visits No. 6 Charleston and No. 12 Davis & Elkins travels to No. 5 Pitt Johnstown.
The rest of the tournament will be at UC's Eddie King Gym, with the quarterfinal round scheduled to begin Thursday.
