Second-seeded Seton Hill had a battle on its hands against West Virginia State in its quarterfinal match, but fought off the Yellow Jackets to win 25-20, 25-27, 25-23, 25-13.
Megan Lucas led State with 43 assists to go with 18 digs, while Jessyca Gooch registered a team-high 23 digs.
In Thursday's other quarterfinal matches, Fairmont State defeated Davis & Elkins 25-15, 25-12, 25-14 and top-seeded Wheeling Jesuit dispatched Shepherd 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.
Fairmont State will play Wheeling Jesuit at 2 p.m. today in one semifinal match while Charleston takes on Seton Hill in the other semifinal.

CAPITAL CLASSIC:Tickets for the Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic men's basketball game between Marshall and West Virginia will go on sale at 9 a.m. today at the Mountaineer Ticket Office in Morgantown.
The game will be played Dec. 5 at the Charleston Civic Center.

A limited number of lower-level seats behind the basket are available for Mountaineer Athletic Club donors for $42. Upper-level seating is available to the general public for $32.
All tickets for the men's game can be used for a general admission seat for the women's game on Dec. 4.
nnWVU WRESTLING: Three West Virginia University wrestlers make appearances in multiple Division 1 rankings this week ahead of the Mountaineers' match against No. 1 Penn State this weekend.
Senior Shane Young is ranked No. 20 by InterMat, No. 18 by WIN and No. 16 by Amateur Wrestling News in the 125-pound weight class. Junior Colin Johnston is No. 17 at 133 pounds in the Intermat rankings and junior Nathan Pennesi is No. 19 in Intermat and No. 17 in WIN in the 141-pound weight class.
nnPREP HOOPS: George Washington will host the Pritchard Mining Holiday Invitational Basketball Tournament for middle school boys and girls junior varsity teams and for high school girls junior varsity teams.
Each team is guaranteed two games. The entry fee is $50 per team.
