Weston woman wins Gold Mine Week 13
Advertiser

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Carol Shaffer of Weston is the winner of the Gazette Gridiron Gold Mine contest for Week 13.

Shaffer's entry was one of three that correctly predicted 14 of 15 possible games, and she won by coming the closest without going over the total points scored in the tiebreaker game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. Shaffer's prediction of 34 points scored was closest to the actual total of 37 points in the Redskins' 31-6 win.

For winning, Shaffer will be awarded $75 and entered in to the season-ending Gold Mine Championship.
